Alex Siebel took his fourth win of the season in front of teammate Risto Kappet to claim ACR Zakspeed's third 1-2 in 2018. Guest superstar Jernej Simoncic impressed with a close third position.
Qualifying was held in extreme wet conditions and Jernej Simoncic, substitute for Tom Parker in the Evolution, took a suprise pole position, only 0.037s ahead of poleman last time out Geoffrey Fournier. Championship leader Alex Siebel was third with Risto Kappet in fourth and Jarl Teien fifth. Tobias Olsson impressed in ninth for Madcape.

Race start was dry but damp enough for everyone to start on intermediate tyres. Despite half of the grid benefiting from a dry starting spot, the order remained stable at the top. A few laps in, though, Simoncic put a wheel on the wet stuff to allow Siebel past and to pull a gap.

Many people gambled to go on slicks too early on a drying track, most notably Jarl Teien and Florian Geier, both of who ended their race early. Risto Kappet was the first of the front-runners to do so and pitting two laps before his teammate allowed him to take the lead which he was reluctant to give away to his faster teammate. It was a race long battle between the teammates at the top until Kappet made a mistake and allowed Siebel to get past. A surprise obstacle to ACR 1-2 was Simoncic who completed the race with just one stop and was passed by Kappet with only two laps to go.

Geoffrey Fournier looked to have a shot at the win aswell but eventually finished fourth and 35 seconds off the lead due to spinning off on the wet outside line trying to overtake Siebel who in turned had himself lost ground from a failed overtake on Kappet.

Osvaldo Angelone scored a great fifth place for Red Archer, timing his change to slicks to perfection and making no mistakes in the tricky conditions.

The Nordsjoens of Fidock and Cooper had their best points haul of the year in sixth and tenth and Tobias Olsson managed to hang on to a points finish to double his teams tally with a 14th position.

In the drivers standings, Siebel extends his lead to Kappet to 21 points and in the teams championship Edge Esports fall 85 points behind ACR Zakspeed, having only finished with one car in 12th with Petar Brljak.
